Raven

K9 Raven is a black female Labrador from Wellington, Colorado. She was born
in January 2017 and became an LCSO K-9 deputy September 2017. She is a certified narcotics K-9 used in the Larimer County Jail and is partnered with Corporal Joe Pugliese.
Raven retired in April 2023 and now enjoys the luxury of being a full time family member, getting all the tummy rubs she can get and getting spoiled by her loving family!
Raven spent six years working narcotics in the Larimer County Detention Center. She is only one of two female K9s in the LCSO K9 cadre. During her service at the jail, she found several narcotics and found approximately 16 pounds of marijuana products for a local task force, US Postal Inspector and DEA.
K9 Raven is our most extroverted K9! She absolutely loves people, other dogs, playing fetch, going on walks, playing in the water and hanging with her beloved family.
Raven will roll over on her back for a belly rub anytime someone is near!
When Raven was brand new, she attended one of our citizens academy alumni pot lucks to meet everyone. Joe and Raven were at the very front table, and Barb was at the very back table. Raven decided she wanted to see Barb, so she jumped up on the front table and leaped on every table until she reached Barb at the back table and jumped in her lap! She really thinks she is a lap dog!
Raven retired in April 2023 and now enjoys the luxury of being a full time family member, getting all the tummy rubs she can get and getting spoiled by her loving family! According to her Dad, Joe, she enjoys sleeping in the bed, on the couch and spending time with her canine brother and sister. “Raven is still confused when I leave for work with my new partner and not her. She gets over it by relaxing on the couch and being spoiled by my family.”
