Our mission is to financially support a happy and healthy retirement for the amazing Larimer County Sheriff’s Office K9s that have given so much to our community safety and their handlers in Larimer County.
Our Foundation started because the LCSO K9s are a valuable asset to the safety of our community and have provided years of dedicated service during their active duty. When the K9 deputy is ready to retire, whether due to age or injury, our foundation ensures the K9 handler and family can adopt their K9 to lead a happy and healthy retirement without undue financial burden to the handler and family. Medical and care expenses for each LCSO retired K9 is funded through the Foundation to ensure this devoted partnership continues through the rest of the K9 deputy’s life.
Kiowa came from Silt, Colorado as a one year old german shepherd born in 1988.
We are so thankful for the outpouring of support that we have received from the community.
Two of our K9s were the focus of an article published by the Loveland Reporter Herald!
